Happy Monday, Wolf Pack!  Here are your 5 Things to Know for this week!

In honor of Mardi Gras and Black History Month, sign up for our free Get to NOLA event on February 1st at the Backstreet Cultural Museum.  Space is limited. Complete the form in the above link and bring a $5 cash refundable deposit to Daniel Harris in the Department of Student Life and Ministry. Your spot is secured by the deposit and will be returned to you the day of the event. Come learn the history of Mardi Gras and the people who shaped it, the black cultural impact on New Orleans and about Mardi Gras Indians. Get to NOLA events are open to all faculty, students, and staff and transportation is provided. Questions? Email Daniel Harris, Coordinator for Campus Recreation and Commuter Student Engagement.

2. Jazzy Passes
The Department of Student Life and Ministry is excited to announce the availability of free Jazzy Passes!  These passes can be used over 1, 24-hour period on an RTA bus or streetcar. Jazzy passes will be available beginning January 27th, 2020 in the Arrupe Suite, Bobet Hall 104, and the Student Life and Ministry suite, Lower Level of the Danna Student Center between the hours of 9 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday. Please contact Daniel Harris, Coordinator for Commuter Student Engagement, for more information.

3. Loyola’s Pizza Pitch Night
Open to all faculty, staff, and students, Loyola's Pizza Pitch Night is the premier space for bringing big ideas, developing your pitch, and finding resources to take your plan to the next level. Register today if you plan on attending or want to pitch! Contact Callie West, Assistant Director in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with any questions. 

Join the University Programming Board this Thursday, from 7 PM - 9 PM in the Audubon Room for an educational game to learn more about food insecurity on Loyola's campus and the greater New Orleans area. Winners will receive a care package!

5. Senior Retreat
Attention Seniors! Save the date for the Senior Retreat - a day to look back on your time at Loyola, look ahead to what post-grad life is like, and reflect on where you are as a second-semester senior.  Join us Saturday February 8th from 9:30 AM-3 PM. Space is limited, register here by 1/31. Contact Laura Alexander, University Minister, at with questions or to arrange a waiver for the $10 fee.
