This is our last edition before the end of classes this year. The final flurry of activity is upon us on campus; students and faculty will wrap up classes on Thursday, May 2 and finals begin on Saturday, May 4, signaling the end of the 2023-24 academic year. Amid completing their final days of classwork, there's also a lot of fun planned (highlighted below). As summer plans solidify, I offer my thanks for your partnership throughout the year and look forward to seeing many of you back on campus next year!
Thank you, Class of 2024 families, for sharing your Wildcats over the years, and for having a formative role in the launch of this office. I'm grateful our office was able to play a (small) part in your experience and the growth of your student these past four years. Enjoy the next few weeks and I hope to see you at some point during Commencement!

End of the Year Support & Academic Resources
With the close of the academic year approaching, students are maneuvering through a wide variety of activities and responsibilities. As a key piece of your Wildcat's support system, we wanted to remind you of the University's academic and health and well-being resources that are in place throughout the year, but especially during this time. When help is needed, we ask that you encourage your Villanovan to reach out, to take initiative and to drive the conversation by contacting their advisor, their professors or their Dean's office. Additionally, here is a listing of some other offices that may also be helpful to your Wildcat:
-
Learning Support Services: offers students a variety of academic support services that are designed to help all Villanovans maximize their academic success.
-
Office of Health Promotion: a hub of student resources that helps Villanovans thrive.
-
University Counseling Center: free, confidential, short-term individual counseling, group counseling, educational outreach programs and discussion groups for Villanova students. Drop-in appointments available.
-
Office of Belonging and Inclusion: an inclusive space that fosters understanding and diversity and provides resources to support the well-being of all, with a particular focus on the needs of students from underrepresented identities.
-
UNITAS: student-athletes work alongside faculty and staff to create initiatives and resources for the athletics community to better understand and support their mental health.
-
UWill: a 24/7 telehealth solution that quickly connects students to licensed mental health counselors.

Finishing the Year Strong with Friends and Fun!
The Office of Student Involvement and Health Promotion have several events planned these final days of the academic year allowing students to relax and manage stress in a healthy, fun manner. Encourage your Wildcat to attend an event and/or grab a friend and get outside and enjoy the fresh air (the weather is looking pretty perfect this week in Villanova).
The Late Night Breakfast tradition continues on Friday, May 3 (Reading Day)! Villanova staff and faculty, in partnership with Dining Services, will serve Wildcat breakfast favorites to our students—for free—from 9-11 p.m. in Dougherty Dining Hall. There are some great raffle prizes up for grabs, too! Remind your Wildcat to stop in and grab some extra food after a long day of studying!

Residence Hall Closing Reminders |
Ready to make plans for moving your Wildcat out in May? We've included a few of the important highlights here, but as always we encourage students and their families to review the Residence Life webpage for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
All residence halls and on-campus apartments will close at noon on Sunday, May 11 (students participating in Commencement or approved for another sponsored event must be moved out before 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 19). As your Wildcat leaves their on-campus housing, please keep the following in mind:
-
Students must complete an Express Check-out Form (available in their residence hall) just before they leave their room, suite or apartment. In addition, students should log in to their housing portal to formally check out of their rooms.
- Students are encouraged to use the bins located in residence hall lobbies to donate unwanted clothing, non-perishable food items, etc.
-
Important reminder to double- and triple-check that students have all of their personal items. Once students have left campus, they will need permission from Residence Life to return to their rooms. Please keep in mind, any items left in the room will be considered abandoned property and will either be donated or thrown away.
-
Residence Life staff members will complete room assessments once all residents of a room, suite or apartment have departed. Damage charges may be assessed for rooms that do not meet move-out standards.

Family Webinar Recordings
We recently hosted two Family webinars with some of our campus partners. If you weren't able to make the event, we've posted them to the web so you can give them a listen (or relisten) when your schedule allows. Families can look forward to more of these events in the Summer and Fall of 2024.
