Planning Ahead for Student Health Insurance |
In July, Villanova students will have the opportunity to waive out of, or enroll in a University-sponsored health insurance plan through United Healthcare. In advance, the Student Health Center reminds families to review their student's health insurance policy in advance of the 2026-27 academic year. Health insurance is mandatory for all Villanova University undergraduate students and student health insurance policies must be fully compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that provides comprehensive medical coverage in Pennsylvania. Some health insurance plans do not meet those requirements and are not accepted at Villanova; these plans include, but are not limited to, international insurance plans, out-of-state Medicaid plans, travel insurance plans and short-term medical plans.
Prior to July, please thoroughly review the important health insurance information and requirements on the Student Health Center website to help determine your student's needs. If you or your student have specific questions, please contact the Student Health Center at studenthealthcenter@villanova.edu or call 610-519-4070.

Focusing on Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention |
Throughout the month of April, the Office of Health Promotion—along with many other offices and departments—will host a variety of programs and events focused on sexual assault and ways that we, as a community, can work together to prevent it. Programs will focus on identifying unhealthy behaviors in relationships, building relationships based in consent, acknowledging trauma and ways to support those who have been impacted by sexual violence. Encourage your student to attend a program or event and help us build awareness as we move forward to help prevent sexual assault in our community and beyond.

End of Semester Mental Health Support |
This time of year can be stressful for students with the approach of the end of the semester and, for some, the end of their college experience. No matter their need, please remind your Villanovan that help is available. They can easily schedule a free, confidential appointment at the Counseling Center in person, online or by phone. With its variety of services and resources, the Counseling Center helps students function optimally with regard to emotional, academic, social and psychological issues.
Additionally, the University's telehealth partner, Uwill, is available 365 days per year for telehealth and crisis counseling. Uwill is a leading mental health and wellness solution that allows students the ability to connect quickly with licensed mental health counselors based on their unique needs and preferences.
