Gideon's Bones: A Family Trick or Treat
The Ephrata Cloister Associates, in partnership with the Ephrata Merchants Association, are hosting Gideon’s Bones: A Family Trick or Treat, on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
The community event will allow families to find the bones on Brother Gideon’s gravestone in our historic cemetery and then follow clues that will take them to seven different buildings on the grounds of the Ephrata Cloister. Local businesses will be sponsoring each one of the stops by providing toys, food, and other surprise treats to participating families. Costumed interpreters will greet trick-or-treaters at each stop and families will also be able to make and take small projects along the trail.
The cost to participate in the program is $6.00 for one adult and one child (under 12 years old) and $3.00 for each additional adult or child. Gideon’s Bones is free for Ephrata Cloister Associates at the Family membership level and for those possessing a museum pass from the Lancaster County public library system.
