Coaching Your Student to Academic Success

Parents, you play a key role in coaching your student to learn self-advocacy skills and to use the resources available to help them be successful academically. Here are some key dates to be aware of as you help your student take charge, located here.

Mock Interview Days
Tuesday November 13th // 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Wednesday, November 14th // 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Champlain Room, 3rd floor of Center for Communication & Creative Media

The interview process can be an intimidating and overwhelming experience for many job applicants. Participating in a practice interview before the “big day” can take some of the pressure off the interviewee and instill confidence in even the most inexperienced applicant.

Encourage your student to sign up for a mock interview session on November 13th or 14th. Students will be paired with a guest facilitator for a mock interview and feedback session.
In addition to developing interview skills, this is also a great opportunity for students to build their professional network. Pre-registration required: Register at: bit.ly/mockinterviewdays
