Group Counseling

Group counseling is an effective way to learn more about yourself, especially as it relates to your relationship with others. The way people act in the group often reflects how they behave on the outside. It’s also a great way to see that you’re not alone in your feelings. Groups are professionally facilitated and meet for 60 to 90 minutes a week and contain between five and nine members.

Connecting

Roo Companion Pen Pals

Do you want to make connections with other Roos at UMKC? Register for the Roo Companion pen pal program and be matched with students on campus with similar interests. This semester, you can choose to receive one Roo Companion match or be connected with a small group. Previous participants are encouraged to participate again as well!

You can connect with your Roo Companion in any way you mutually agree to communicate. Partners or groups are encouraged to connect weekly in order to build community at UMKC!

“I’ve always worked with younger students. I helped take care of my younger family members and this is my fourteenth season coaching high school basketball. Raising a family, working and going to school – it’s a lot. But this program inspired me to go after my dreams.”
