Beginner's Corner Workshops
April: Bury Me Beneath The Willow (Roly Polys)
Sunday, April 3rd at 1:00 p.m. eastern time we will gather on Zoom to study Bury Me Beneath The Willow from New Beginning Banjo 2. No need to attend live as everyone gets a download link afterwards.
This is the second song where we use the roly poys to match licks up to the chord progression (which is the very first step to improvising). To prepare just go through Murphy's lesson (and you might want to also do my tag lick tutorial over on YouTube). Hope to see some of you there!

Intermediate/Advanced Banjo Lessons and Banjo Setups in Asheville, NC
My friend Derek Vaden, the wonderful banjo player with the Larry Stephenson Band, has started to offer upper-intermediate and advanced lessons in Asheville, NC or online. He is very rooted in Earl Scruggs's playing, as well as Sonny Osborne's and especially excels at backup. It could be a great opportunity for some of you more advanced players (I know you're out there!) to expand your horizons.
He also does banjo setups. If your instrument is not sounding its best a setup can really help.
If interested you can contact him via email or Instagram.
