NEW FEATURES
What's new for editors
|
Character limits
SF.gov is introducing character limits for title, description, and alert fields. The field names will now display the suggested character count. It will also display the number of characters you have for the field as you type. When the character count is reached, the counter will turn red.
Â
The screenshot below shows how it displays on the editor interface.Â

|
Coming soon
We're continuing to work on combining department and public body content types, so that public bodies will be easier and more flexible to use.
Â
We’re also improving a handful of accessibility issues, and translation editing.

DID YOU KNOW?
Today's publishing tip
|
Prevent duplicate content by using filters
Having multiple pages with the same content severely damages the site's ranking in search engine results! Make sure nobody else has published the same content by using search and filters.
Â
Depending on the tab, you can search by any key word from the page title, or filter by content type, published status, author, and department.

|
|
Hope to see you on Teams! Happy editing!
Â
Thanks as always for being fantastic partners, getting services and information to all San Franciscans.
