University of Oregon

Dear Ducks,
As Election Day approaches, it’s a great time to reflect on the importance of being an engaged and active citizen. Voting is one of the ways we can all contribute to shaping the future of our communities, both locally and nationally. Whether this is your first election or one of many, your participation counts.
Important Deadlines
  • Voter Registration: Oregon's deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, October 15.
  • Updating Your Information: If you're already registered, you can update your voter registration information until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and still cast a ballot. However, if you change your information too close to Election Day, your ballot may need to be picked up at your county elections office.
  • Election Day: Ballots are due by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5.
If you're voting in Oregon, there are several easy ways to drop off your completed ballot around campus:
  • The EMU Amphitheater
  • The Vote or Vote table on 13th and University Street
  • The downtown public library
Mailing your ballot to another state? Keep in mind that deadlines may vary. Be sure to check your state's deadlines for mailing your ballot to ensure it arrives on time. You can visit studentvote.org/voting-resources or your state’s election website for more information.
Not sure if you're registered or need more details about voting? Visit studentvote.org for information on registration and how to cast your ballot.
Being an engaged citizen means staying informed and participating in the processes that shape our future. Let’s ensure every eligible Duck plays their part in building a stronger, more connected community.
