Packing dental kits during the Bridges Society Networking and Volunteering Event.
More than 1,000 dental kits were donated to Keystone Human Services for kids in need.
Bridges Society Networking and Volunteering Event
 
More than 50 United Way of the Capital Region Bridges Society members gathered at local hotspot Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center Harrisburg to network and give back to the community.  

Attendees enjoyed local food and beverages while assembling more than 500 dental kits for local kids in need. Special thanks to Delta Dental, Capital BlueCross, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and other local companies for collecting and donating a significant amount of supplies for these kits.

With additional from Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the National Pan-Hellenic Council, a total of 1,000 dental kits were donated to Keystone Human Services who serve children in need.

Dental supplies cannot be purchased with food stamps which makes dental health a struggle for many low-income families. Dental kits reach children who are most at-risk for experiencing poor oral health and have little access dental care.
