This new training will provide practical tools, evidence-based strategies, and actionable resources designed to support and strengthen patient navigation efforts across the cancer continuum. Upcoming Session of Comp Cancer Connection June 16 |
|
|
GW TAP will host the next session of Comp Cancer Connection on June 16. While there will be no formal presentations, the GW TAP team will be on Zoom, ready to say hello and offer a time to connect, ask questions or just talk with colleagues who join the call.
Registration is not required. Two meetings will be offered on the same day, one at 9:30 a.m. ET and the other at 3:30 p.m. ET.

June is designated as National Cancer Survivors month to recognize the more than 18 million cancer survivors in the United States. Events celebrate life, raise awareness, and provide support. Cherokee Nation Showcases Healthy, Traditional Cooking |

|
The Cherokee Nation Public Health Cancer Prevention Program and partners showcase nutrient-rich Indigenous ingredients traditional in their Native American food demonstration videos and recipe guides. By teaching practical cooking skills rooted in cultural tradition, the program makes healthy eating both accessible and personally meaningful. Iowa Cancer Consortium Keeps Members in the Loop |

|
For its upcoming gubernatorial election, the Iowa Cancer Consortium hosted a forum to engage candidates on key cancer control issues. Candidates were also asked to complete a survey about their plans for cancer prevention and control policy if elected. Survey results were recently shared in the Consortium's newsletter.
Educating its members and community on the positions candidates have about cancer control is just one way this consortium is engaging in advocacy in action!
