After 12 years with Federated Media's Country/WQHK-FM (105.1fm, Huntertown), PD/Midayer Dave Michaels exits that role. Mr. Michaels previously voicetracked afternoons at Talking Stick Communications' Country/WAWC (103.5fm, Syracuse), but will now do that airshift live. Mr. Michaels began programming "K-105" in February 2013. Succeeding Mr. Michaels in the "K-105" PD chair will be Federated Media sister CHR/WMEE (97.3fm, Fort Wayne) PD Jimmy Knight. With Mr. Knight now programming two radio stations, he will hand off his midday air shift at "97.3 WMEE" to weekender Dan (on an interim basis).
The new K-105 weekday on air schedule: Dan Austin, Dude Walker and Kylie Havens from 6am until 10am. Ms. Havens remains on until Noon, and Aricka McCauley takes Noon until 6pm.

DLC Media welcomes Tyler Davis as their News Director. Mr. Davis recently graduated from Indiana State University. DLC Media has five Terre Haute area radio stations.

August 21: In 1953, 1390am in Fairfield, Illinois signs on as WFIW, and still is. In 1955, 1590am in Mount Vernon signs on as WPCO. Today, it's WRCY. In 1956, Channel 7 in Evansville signs on as ABC affiliate WTVW-TV ("TeleVision of Western Indiana").
August 22: In 1994, 91.1fm in Lafayette Township signs on as WCYT, and still is. In 2005, Terre Haute broadcaster Sharla Cretors-Daniel dies. Age 33. In 2010, Salem broadcaster and founder of WSLM(AM) and WSLM-FM Don Martin dies. Age 90.
August 23: In 1976, 88.3fm in Fort Wayne signs on as WLHI. Today, it's WLAB. In 1997, WLOI (LaPorte) founder Isabel Scott Rumely Bowyer dies. Age 83.
August 24: In 1970, 101.7fm in Fort Wayne signs on as WCMX. Today, it's WLDE. In 2012, former Indianapolis and Evansville broadcaster Dale Sommers ("The Truckin' Bozo") dies. Age 68.
August 25: In 1989, 105.7fm in Defiance, Ohio signs on as WZOM, and still is. In 2008, Indianapolis broadcaster Kevin Spencer dies. Age 49.
August 26: In 1873, Anna Margaret de Forest gives birth to a son: Lee.

Lake City Media is a small market station with a large market work ethic. Summary:
Seeking experienced radio producer for two live network broadcasts daily. The radio producer will be responsible for the technical production of Farm Journal Radio live broadcasts as well as production of custom audio for Farm Journal websites, clients and internal promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
* Daily technical production of 2 live radio shows
* Manage automation logs of 2 live radio shows
* Manage production of various recorded audio including show promos, market reports, custom audio for affiliates and clients, custom in-house audio, etc.
* Edit audio highlights from broadcasts to use on Farm Journal websites.
* Travel to produce live broadcasts from industry events
* Assist with booking guests
* Coordinate travel logistics
Education/Skills/Professional Experience:
These qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:
* 1 to 3 years of radio production experience
* Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism preferred
* Expertise with Adobe Audition, Pro Tools or similar audio editing suite
* Strong written and communication skills
* Must have a strong attention to detail and decision making skills
* Must be able to meet deadlines
* Knowledge of the Agricultural Industry is a plus
