Dear Denisonian‚
I hope this summer has provided you some time for relaxation and self-restoration. As we near the end of August, our alma mater’s leadership, faculty, and staff have been working diligently to develop and implement plans to sustain a transformative educational experience for current Denisonians while keeping the health and well-being of all a central priority.
Denison is fortunate to be guided by such a dedicated, creative, and innovative team. While the pervasive uncertainty sowed by COVID-19 lingers — not to mention the physical and mental stresses — many Denisonians eagerly await the learning and growth possibilities accompanying a new academic year.
When I was a student, I looked forward to returning to campus each August — to reconnect with friends and attend the first day of classes. I was excited by the educational opportunities ahead. Denison nurtured my love of learning, critical thinking, and passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
Now that our roles have transitioned from students to alumni, the possibilities before us have also evolved. Instead of returning to campus to study in the fall as we once did, I encourage you to identify the opportunities to give back and positively shape the experience of the students who are returning to Granville this fall.
Please, find ways to support our fellow Denisonians this year. Together, as alumni of Denison University, we are called upon to support the school’s mission and play an active role in the success of current and future students.
