Maker Mondays: Help us welcome
new students this fall by making
Highlander Hearts |
|
|
|
|
Join Radford University’s Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL) on Mondays throughout June and July from noon to 1 p.m. in the CITL iLab, McConnell Library 270, for a summer of creativity, connection and community.
Each week will feature an exploration of a different crafting technique while creating hearts to share. Make one to take home and another to donate as part of our “Highlander Hearts” initiative – a partnership with the Office of Alumni Relations to welcome new students to campus on the first day of classes by gifting them a handmade heart.
No crafting experience needed, and all skill levels are welcome. Bring your lunch and relax while learning something new, connecting with others and helping create a warm welcome for incoming Radford students.
The summer schedule for Maker Mondays will be:
|
- June 1 – Metal Embossing
- June 8 – Crochet
- June 15 – Origami
- June 22 – Rock Painting
- June 29 – Button Making
- July 13 – Decoupage
- July 20 – Slow Stitch
- July 27 – Fiber Art
