💖 Orientation is only part of your transition to AU. Another part of this process is Welcome Week, which lasts through the first week of the semester! During this exciting time, our campus partners host events after your required orientation sessions to extend your opportunity to meet people, make new friends, and forge connections with the university.
Take a look at some of the opportunities below:
|
- Outdoor Movie Night: Inside Out 2
- Late Night at the Rec
- Silent Disco Summer Jam

🍽️ With an exciting week of orientation and Welcome Week, it's important that you remember to grab a bite to eat! With a number of options available on campus—from our on-campus dining hall, the Terrace Dining Room (TDR), to well-known favorites like Qdoba and Starbucks—now is the time to explore all the food options that campus has to offer.

| Welcome to AU, transfer students!
🔄 We're planning some special transfer-specific events for you! With events like a Transfer Student Mixer designed just for you, make sure to keep an eye out for details in the orientation schedule.
And be sure you're enrolled in the transfer section of AUx (CORE-196), where you'll connect with other transfer students who are navigating the same transition. Welcome, Eagles!
Please contact Diane Palmer, Coordinator of Transfer Student Success, with any questions.

📋 It's an election year! Did you know you can vote by absentee ballot? The process differs by state (e.g., some states require that students complete a form in person before they leave for school), but our library staff is here to ensure students know about the processes and can assist you.

Thank you Eagles for completing your New Student Questionnaire, which helped us help you get registered for classes this fall. We also wanted to thank you for answering our Summer Survey questions as well. We heard you and appreciate you sharing your questions. Given that we have completed our New Eagle Essentials webinars, have provided Flight Ready! content in Canvas, and will see you in a few short weeks for in-person orientation, we wanted to provide you with some key contacts should you have outstanding questions you need assistance with now:

📣 As a new Eagle, what are you most excited to get involved in on campus? Tell us more about you and your interests by completing the Eagle Engagement Survey. It should take about two minutes to complete. You can find it your AU email inbox by searching for ‘Eagle Engagement Survey.’ Results can be used to improve the student experience and connect you with resources to support you to make the most of your AU journey. Don’t miss this important opportunity!
