Directed by Jacques Demy, with Catherine Denueve, Nino Castelnuovo (France—1964). Made in collaboration with composer Micheal Legrand, with dialogue entirely sung.  A mechanic and the daughter of an umbrella shopkeep are in love, but he is called to serve in the Algerian War, unaware she is pregnant.  In French with subtitles. Recommended Read
Unusual Uses for Olive Oil by Alexander McCall Smith
"I didn't realize this was part of a series when I picked it up, but it didn't matter! The wonderfully pompous Professor Dr. Moritz-Maria von Igelfeld is the author of 'Portuguese Irregular Verbs,' and as you can imagine, it's not a best-seller. When his collegue receives an honor that the esteemed professor feels should have gone to HIM, the injustice can not be overlooked. The professor thinks only of himself. His antics reminded me of Sheldon from 'The Big Bang Theory': No one is as smart as he. He dabbles in romance and constantly finds himself in absurd situations. I laughed out loud a couple times because it was just so silly."
--Keely, Meadows Branch

Two teens talking:
"Are you gonna grab a book?"
"No."
"Come on!"
