Solomon Ayehu (MIDP Dec. '23) participated in Duke’s Cybersecurity Leadership Program in May. The program brought together a dynamic group of professionals from the private and public sectors around the globe to discuss and hone the outlook of cybersecurity policy that countries should critically take into consideration. Ayehu, a medical doctor from Ethiopia, shared on LinkedIn: “With the exponential growth of telemedicine and online health apps, more pronounced since the COVID-19 pandemic, the health data of patients utilizing these services has been alarmingly compromised. As a physician who has sworn in the Hippocrates Oath it is imperative for me to understand the developing concerns of health data protection and cybersecurity.”
