Hawkins Scholarship
If you're passionate about making an impact in underserved communities and closing achievement gaps, this program offers the resources and support to help you succeed as an educator! They also provide undergraduate education majors with support for certification exams, scholarships, tutoring, and professional development, and so much more! Graduate students benefit from similar resources, including graduate coursework, mentorship, and partnerships to expand their certification areas while enhancing their teaching skills.

NOYCE (STEM) Scholarship
The highly prestigious, nationally recognized Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship supports exceptional students who plan to teach STEM fields in a high-needs school district with $10,000 per academic year. *Ideally applicants should be of Sophomore or Junior standing at SHSU or Lone Star Community College and be willing to double major in STEM + earn a teaching certification. However, classification exceptions may apply. We are happy to answer any specific questions you may have about eligibility.

Charles Butt Scholarship
The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers is designed to support promising students pursuing a future in the teaching profession. The scholarship consists of $8,000-$10,000 in annual funding, as well as professional development opportunities and mentorship from sitting public school educators. The scholarship is open to students who are working toward receiving their teaching certification for the first time at selected universities.
