Colleagues,
Good afternoon. Effective tomorrow, September 1, I am pleased to share Lauren Stanfield will take on the additional role and responsibility of Assistant Vice President for Student Services & Enrollment Management and Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing.
During her University of Oregon tenure, Lauren has continually led a terrific team of communication professionals committed to excellence, innovation, and communicating with students and families in an effective manner. Lauren’s dedication to providing leadership across campus in addition to Division of SSEM, has been critical to the University of Oregon. Through major division-wide initiatives such as the launch of Slate as our new Constituent Relations Management (CRM) system, the design and launch of our brand new, first-class Student Welcome Center, the many influential marketing materials received by students and families, and many, many other accomplishments, Lauren has shown outstanding leadership abilities. During her 4 year tenure in SSEM, Lauren has provided clarity to complex issues, and strategic direction for our divisional communication. During the last eighteen months of COVID, Lauren’s care for students and her team has been impressive.
In addition to her service to SSEM, Lauren has made significant contributions to the communication efforts throughout the University of Oregon, supporting the Division of Student Life and University Communications. Lauren perspective on communication issues has been sought out by university leadership, and implemented to assist the university. Lauren is the student communications expert at the UO and has ensured communication to key constituency groups is straight forward, caring, and professional.
Lastly, I have appreciated Lauren’s counsel and expertise. Lauren will join her fellow AVPs in providing critical perspective and leading the division as we work to fulfill our mission.
