Dr. Khan’s areas of expertise include neuroendocrine cancer, GI cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, and gut health. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist in Cardiff in 2014, is an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, and has many national and international roles.
Dr. Khan completed clinical training in gut symptoms, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver diseases and developed particular expertise in the management of patients of neuroendocrine tumors, functional abdominal conditions, gastrointestinal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal and nutritional effects of cancer. A particular focus of Dr. Khan’s practice is on promoting good gut health including managing small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, dysbiosis, pancreatic insufficiency, and bile acid malabsorption.
