Academic writing is an essential skill in many graduate and professional programs. However, experience can vary widely among our diverse student population. While it is not often practical to teach writing 101 alongside your existing curriculum, there are resources available at GW to help students that need a little extra support.

Grade Center Help is Available |
Whether you are using Blackboard Ultra or Original, Grade Centers can easily get messy and inaccurate. And Grade Centers are important in helping students understand their status in a course. Luckily, we on the IMPACT team have had a lot of practice troubleshooting and cleaning up Grade Centers and we are always happy to help. Do not ever hesitate to contact Alison McGuire (alisonmcguire@gwu.edu) or Laurie Lyons (lbl@gwu.edu) to troubleshoot issues with your Grade Center or just for a second set of eyes to check that all is well.

Have you heard of the Pomodoro Technique? You don't need an app, just a clock, to work through a gray day. It’s based on 25-minute work sprints– You can do anything for 25 minutes and the sprints will add up!
