Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) funding panel |
More than 15 CPH faculty participated in the May George Mason Faculty Writing Retreat. During the retreat lunch ORIE hosted a panel discussion on funding and funding opportunities. Several tips were highlighted, including the George Mason webpage for searching corporations and foundations, as well as SPIN, a large database of grants which the George Mason community can access for free.

Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) |
CPH hosted a dialogue about CDMRP with CPH faculty and Conafay consulting. One big take-away is that research proposals to CDMRP have a similar look and feel as NIH R01 proposals, with certain notable exceptions. Further, the research does not have to include military or veteran populations, rather the key is for the research to be population-relevant. Email Alison Cuellar (aevanscu.gmu.edu) for PPT slides and more information.
