As you might expect, Women's History Month was a busy month for us here at the Gender and Policy (GAP) Center! Here's an overview of the events we hosted and participated in.

We kicked off Women's History Month on February 22 with a panel on the Equal Rights Amendment. Panelists (from left to right) included ERA advocate and activist Eileen Davis; President and CEO of the ERA Coalition Zakiya Thomas; National Organizing Director of Generation Ratify Ella Duncan-High; and President and CEO of MANA, A National Latina Organization, Amy Hinojosa, with GAP Director Bonnie Stabile. Thanks to everyone who attended, and special thanks to the Women and Gender Studies Program for coordinating the event!

At the "Rise To" summit organized by Jessica Berg (pictured in pink shirt) at Rock Ridge High School in Loudoun County on March 2, GAP was represented on the "Your Voice in Politics" panel. We hosted another panel on the Equal Rights Amendment at Mason Square on March 19. BuildWithin Co-Founder and Gender and Policy (GAP) Board Member Dr. Ximena Gates-Hartsock hosted a Women's History Month panel at the Tower Club featuring Kinsey Fabrizio, Consumer Technology Association; Erin Dahlin, Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation, and Azalia H. Speight, Maya Angelou Schools/See Forever Foundation, moderated by Bonnie Stabile.

We tabled at the Feminist Majority Foundation's National Young Feminist Leadership Conference on March 25. It was inspiring to meet young women leaders from all over the country!

GMU's Student Government hosted a Women's History Month panel on March 21 with representatives from GAP, the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being, the Center for Culture, Equity, and Empowerment, LEAD, Women and Gender Studies, the DEI Office, and the LGBTQ+ Resource Center.

|
We closed out the month on March 27 with the Tower Club of Tysons Corner's Women in Business Committee at their Women's History Month celebration - proceeds from the event went to support GAP and our students. GAP interns Xhulia Rapo, Megan Prince and Aurora King and Senior Assistant Dean Jill Deering helped to make the event a success!
