Our Wednesday Retreats resume tonight at 5:45 pm. After dinner we will discuss the book Life of the Beloved by Henri J. M. Nouwen. Kids will have games at 6:20 and Youth are meeting at Top Golf from 5:30 to 8:00.

Reserve your meal here for our last Wednesday retreat, next week, March 26. You can also make a dinner reservation by tearing off the slip in Sunday's bulletin, filling it out, and placing it in the offering basket. Or you can call the office by noon Monday.

The season of Lent within the life of the Christian church is a 40 day journey with Jesus where we are invited to make room. We are invited to make room for Jesus, make room for personal reflection, and make room for our neighbor through works of piety and works of mercy.
Lent begins Ash Wednesday and ends with the renewing resurrecting work of Easter Day. Each week of Lent Parkway Hills UMC will offer some ways to live into this season. We hope they provide you with something you can do or nudge you toward something where God is already leading. You can also join us for worship every Sunday of Lent at 10:45 as we make this journey together.

Youth are headed to work with Appalachian Service Project this summer and it is time to register our group. Shawn Flowers has worked with ASP before and is excited to be taking another group. If you have questions about ASP, reach out to Shawn.
$100 nonrefundable deposit is due this Sunday, March 23. You can pay online or via the Vanco Mobile App, in the church office, or in the offering basket Sunday (make sure to mark your check "youth trip" in the memo).
Reminder: Don't ever let money be the reason you don't go! Reach out to Pastor Dawn about this or if you are still unsure your child can make it. We can adjust numbers later but ASP registration deadline is next week.

Enneagram Retreat Update:
We hope you are making plans to join us for a retreat exploring the Enneagram. The Enneagram is a system that aids us in better understanding ourselves and therefore better understanding one another. Whether you are very familiar with the Enneagram or never heard of it before, we hope you join us Friday, April 4 at 5:45 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 5 at 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Dinner Friday and lunch Saturday will be provided. Rev. Emily Sanford will be our speaker. Parkway Hills women's ministry is hosting this event, but it is not just for women! Anyone is welcome to attend. Cost is $45, and we ask that you register by Sunday, March 30. Sign up here.

East Flora Elementary has requested we resume providing Backpack Buddies. Backpack Buddies provide food for children throughout the weekend who face food insecurity. We will assist 13-15 students each month with meals. We need your help in April and May to pick up food from MS Food Network, located at 440 W Beatty Street in Jackson, and deliver to East Flora Elementary. Please click this link to assist with food delivery. Once you have signed up, Pastor Haven will reach out to you with a scheduled date and time for pickup that works best for your schedule. We need your help! Join us in collecting plastic egg and candy donations. Eggs can be prefilled with candy. You can drop off your donations in the labeled bins in the worship center or the education building. Donations due by Sunday, April 6. Contact Pastor Haven if you would like to assist in filling eggs with candy.

Join us for Sunday School! The children's ministry will continue hearing the many stories in the Bible as we journey through the Old and New Testaments. All ages begin in the Garden Room at 9:30 a.m. for gathering time and activities. Then the classes break into small groups based on grade levels to explore the Bible stories. New Dates!! Join us for VBS at Parkway Hills June 15-18. Children entering K5 - rising 6th grade are welcome to come and explore the Waves of Wonder at PHUMC.

We always need volunteers to aid with our kids ministry. For more information about any of our kids ministry events contact Pastor Haven.
