The UMKC Conservatory is celebrating the 27th anniversary of Crescendo, its annual gala supporting student scholarships, on Friday, November 3rd. Classical KC is the official media sponsor of the the program taking place at 6:30 p.m. in Helzberg Hall.

| A new choral work acknowledges a racial reckoning at William Jewell College

Composers Nicholas Reeves and KC-based Isaac Cates have co-written a brand new choral work, “The Canon For Racial Reconciliation,” which is part of a broader effort at William Jewell College to reckon with the historical and moral truth of the institution's racial history.
