UT CONNECT is a Graduate School fellowship program that matches master's and Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars with community organizations to assist in research, data and program evaluation projects. Submit your application to be matched with an organization that needs your skill set. Applications are now open for the spring 2026 cohort.

Are you a graduate student or postdoc in the humanities, arts or social Sciences (HASS)? This interactive spring course helps you explore career options, clarify goals and design actionable plans using a life design approach. It meets in-person on Fridays from 10:30–11:45 a.m. during the spring semester. This is a zero-credit hour course, graded on a credit/no credit basis. 2026 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit
The U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E) Summit will be held April 7-9, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific near San Diego, California. The Summit’s student program is for the next generation of energy entrepreneurs and researchers who want to drive American innovation.
Selected students receive:
- Individualized panel sessions and programming
- Access to industry recruiters looking to hire talented energy professionals;
- The opportunity to pitch your research at the Student PITCHES Competition.

The David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship This is a 12-month postgraduate program in Washington, D.C. The fellows will have appointments to interact with many critical public and private sector leaders in health care. They will work full time on Capitol Hill or in the Executive Branch with the guidance of the Winston Board of Directors, comprised of key healthcare policymakers.
The Susan L. Winston Health Policy Scholarship This program recognizes excellence and achievement for students in master’s degree programs in health administration, health policy and public health by providing up to 20 $10,000 scholarships per year. Winston Scholars also join a one-day symposium on health policy in Washington, D.C. The application process opens Jan. 1, 2026.
