Climate Policy Initiative Launched at Duke

The Sanford School of Public Policy received $1 million from HPS Investment Partners and the Kapnick Foundation to establish the Climate Dialogue & Innovation Initiative: Southeast Asia and the World. Jonathan Stromseth will serve as project lead and DCID will implement the initiative in collaboration with research institutions in Singapore and around the region.

DCID in collaboration with VinUniversity, the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology, Saïd School of Business (Oxford University) and SC Johnson Business School (Cornell University) hosted the inaugural Open Innovation Conference in Vietnam, which focused on innovating for a green future.

Social Scientists Convene for Southeast Asian Studies Conference |

The Southeast Asia Research Group (SEAREG) held its annual North American conference at Boston University's Center for the Study of Asia. Five SEAREG Fellows presented their research, which spanned various topics, methods and geographies across Southeast Asia. The SEAREG program is based out of DCID.

The Power of Contextual Expertise for Peacebuilding |

Through a Peace Lab, Duke and UNC graduate students drew on their lived experiences to develop solutions for issues related to conflict, violence and injustice. The lab was part of the Introduction to Peace and Conflict Resolution course taught by Shelley Liu. The course is part of the Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center core curriculum.
