Massey Draw Bank Stabilization Project CompletedUrban Drainage and Flood Control District recently completed the North Tributary to Massey Draw Bank Stabilization Project at Ken Caryl Ave. near the Equestrian Center. The improvements were designed to repair the existing erosion and minimize future erosion of this section of drainageway. All areas disturbed by construction activities will be reseeded. Urban Drainage will maintain this project for Jefferson County and monitor revegetated areas to assure a good vegetative cover. Urban Drainage was formed to assist local governments in the Denver area with multi-jurisdictional drainage and flood control problems. It is funded through a mill levy as part of your property taxes.

Master Association Board Considering Dues IncreaseThe Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Board will adopt the 2019 Budget at its Oct. 16 meeting at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House. The Board is considering a dues increase, primarily to help fund a new pool at the Ranch House. Other operational costs such as trash service and insurance premiums will also increase in 2019. The primary funding for the new Ranch House Pool is coming from the lawsuit settlement with the Plains Metropolitan District, but the lawsuit funds are not enough to cover the cost of the pool. If you have any questions or comments, contact Chris Pacetti at chrisp@kcranch.org or submit feedback directly to the MA Board.

RTD Bus Service
Did you know that changes have been made to some RTD services in South Jefferson County? As of last month, the former Route 85 has been discontinued, and the route has been replaced with a Call-n-Ride Flex Route vehicle. The Flex Route operates virtually identically to the Route 85, using the exact same routing, stops and times. The primary change is that the vehicle used is a standard green Call-n-Ride bus with the word "Special" on the bus. This plan is a new approach for RTD, with an emphasis on selecting the right-sized vehicles and resources to address an area’s transit needs. More details and schedules can be found at the link below.
