White-crowned sparrows spend the summers as far north as Alaska and as close at the high Sierras in California. But one of the places they winter is here in San Diego and our birding team spotted them this week at the reserves for the first time this season. Fall is here!

Learn what lives in the marsh on the second Saturday of every month. On this date we will have a
San Diego Audubon bird docent walking the uplands and helping to identify birds. Please arrive at 9; walks will leave the trailer at 9:15. No registration required.
Wander the Wetlands Work Party Sat. Oct 22, 9 - 11 AM
Come to Kendall-Frost Marsh on the 4th Saturday of every month to help out with restoration activities. Help plant native plants, weed invasive species, mend rabbit-deterring fencing, build Ridgway's rail nesting platforms, and lots of other tasks to give some TLC to the marsh and surrounding uplands.
