Law Students Headed to National Competition

A group of three UMKC School of Law students took home a regional championship and punched their ticket to the National Moot Court Championship next month. Benjamin Bruce, Gracie Blankenship and MacGregor Greenlee took home first place, and MacGregor earned one of two best oral advocates in the regional final!
Congratulations, Roos!

Winter Fun in KC

There is plenty to do in Kansas City over winter break! We asked students their favorite things to do when it gets chilly outside. From catching a performance at the Kansas City Repertory Theater, watching Roos basketball or classic Kansas City traditions like ice skating, there's something for everyone.

Heard around campus:

“Being a student at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management puts you on a higher pedestal in Kansas City in general. As Bloch students, we have so many resources. I've had the opportunity to meet great people, not only through my professors, but through the events that Bloch offers.”

Lauren Orozco decided to come to UMKC after speaking with someone from the Latinx Student Union. Now, she's a senior and the president of the organization. Lauren has found her three passions: community, marketing and higher education, and hopes to use her talents and education to create and provide resources to the Latinx community.
