Volunteer for Virtual Practice Interviews April 15 - 29 |
Tulane University hosts Virtual Interview days each semester to provide students enrolled in career development courses with an authentic interviewing experience to help prepare them for successful internship and job searches. We're seeking parent volunteers to pair with students for 30-minute interviews and provide immediate feedback to help them build confidence, expand their networks, and practice interviewing skills they are learning in career courses.
As you may remember from your own undergraduate days, early exposure to professionals across industries--and thoughtful feedback from them--can be transformative. For some students, this will be their very first interview experience, making your role especially impactful in helping them feel prepared and supported. Our students are eager to build their networks and practice their communication skills with you!
Because this is a virtual event, there are multiple opportunities over the latter half of April to connect with undergraduates from all majors at times convenient for you. If you are interested in supporting both student populations, you will need to sign up for both interview groups. While the overall structure is similar, standards and expectations vary slightly by program. Career Services provides all the materials you need, including sample interview questions, a feedback rubric, and Zoom links.

Final Exam Accommodations Request Deadline: April 24 |
The deadline for students with approved academic accommodations to schedule final exam testing accommodations is 5 p.m. Central, Tues., Apr. 24.
As a reminder, all students are expected to take final exams at the same time and date as their classes are scheduled to test. The Goldman Center for Student Accessibility does not approve changes in exam scheduling without the professor's explicit, written permission. Students and families should be mindful of the final exam schedule when planning for move-out and traveling home.

Spring Residence Hall Move-Out: Important Dates, Procedures, and Resources |
Housing and Residence Life (HRL) has important dates and procedures for wrapping up residence hall life on their Spring Move-Out website. Information includes check-out preparation steps and requirements for all students; guidelines for donations, trash, and recycling; approved storage vendors and shipping options; travel discount and airport shuttle details; as well as extended-stay, Maymester, and summer housing application procedures. You can also find a short 2026 Spring Move-Out video tutorial on their website. Handling move-out packing and procedures while studying and taking final exams can be challenging, so check in with your student early about how they are managing those tasks. The HRL Move-Out Checklist on the website is a great resource!
