Announcing Artist Sessions: ALUMNI WEEK!

We are REALLY excited to announce next week's artists. As we kick off May, we got in touch with some really exceptional SOR alumni. I know we've got an astounding community of alumni, so lets work together to create more opportunities like this for our former students!

We are ALSO announcing a new feature of our Artist Session series...Video Q&A Submissions! We want to try to get a little closer to face-to-face interaction, so we'd love to see students submit some Q&As via video in advance of the session.

Master Classes Are Live!

Many of you have joined in on the awesome Master Classes offered over the past month. They have been exceptionally fun, educational and motivating for both our students and staff! This week we continue with offerings for Beginner Thru Advanced students. Check it all out!

2020 Summer Camp Update

If you have enrolled in a Summer 2020 Camp - hang tight - we're rolling with the changes! Given some of the uncertanty we are working on adding later sessions and will be happy to move your camper once we have a better idea of what is possible. We are also looking at some cool online ways of delivering camps! Stay tuned.

In the meantime, our camps are pretty full already so don't wait to sign up! There's no place like School of Rock for summer music fun! We offer camps for beginner thru advanced players ages 7 thru 15. Check it all out with a click to the button below.

Student Spotlight - Meet SOR Bassist/Volcaist Amanda M.

What is your favorite thing about School of Rock Vienna?

My favorite thing about school of rock has been the relationships I’ve formed with all of the awesome people I’ve met, as well as getting to share what I love the most with other people.

What is one of your favorite things you’ve learned from your time here so far?

I’ve learned that there are other people out there who love to make music as much as I do!

What advice would you give to all the new SOR student musicians?
Stick with it and always try to improve.

Don’t compare yourself to others! It’s easy to do when you’re surrounded by so many other talented people, but you need to remember that everybody rocks in their own way.

If you could be in any band or artist (past or present) who would it be and why?

I would probably the Beatles just because they made such a huge impact on so many people and that’s what I want to do someday.

School of Rock Remote in Control!

"I am a prospective new student, what is School of Rock Remote?"

It is our online, one-on-one music education program allows students to take music lessons remotely. School of Rock Remote furthers your child’s musical journey in a way that prioritizes well-being through social distancing. Weekly one-on-one online instruction is conducted by our expert School of Rock instructors in a safe virtual lesson room. Students receive their training using our proprietary education program, The School of Rock Method™, which couples virtual lessons with our proprietary Method App™, SongFirst Approach™ and Method Books™.

Summer Intern Program Sign Up is Coming

For many years we have offered summer internships to our Performance Program students age 12 and up where they can not only rock in our regular programs over the summer, but can help out in our summer camps as well.

Being an intern is a great opportunity to work on your musicial and leadership skills and it's fun! Stay tuned for more details to be emailed out shortly when we have a better idea on the schedule.
