Have you ever wanted more time with your doctor than an office visit allows? If you have diabetes, here’s your chance, and it comes with a bonus: You’ll get one-on-one time with your endocrinologist, Dr. Rhee, plus support from others who also live with diabetes.
With shared medical appointments, you'll have a unique opportunity to:

Spend extra time with your diabetes specialist. During these appointments, 10 to 15 patients with diabetes gather at the MNPS Employee Wellness Center for 60-90 minutes. Each attendee spends one-on-one time with endocrinologist Dr. Rhee to review their treatment plan and address personal concerns and questions.

Get support from others who face similar challenges. A facilitator also attends, sharing information and encouraging group conversation among peers.
- Learn about the latest and greatest. During the session, we’ll make sure you’re up to date on the most innovative tools, resources and treatments available.

SMAs will be held the first Monday of each month at 3 p.m.
Call 615-259-8755 to reserve your spot, establish care with Dr. Rhee, or change your telehealth follow-up appointments to attend these in-person SMAs.
Certificated employees in the teachers' health plan can participate at no cost. For support employees with Cigna or BCBS coverage, normal specialist charges apply.
