What is your favorite thing you’ve done while working at Extension?
I greatly enjoyed my time supporting the Farmer-to-Farmer project and traveling to Nicaragua, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Guyana. However, by far my most favorite and rewarding thing has been serving as the lead for the Evaluation Unit and helping to grow its portfolio and staff. I am very fortunate to work with so many intelligent and dedicated individuals. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences make it a true joy to come to work every day.
What is your favorite way to connect with the outdoors?
I love hiking new and challenging trails and finding spots along the way to sit and meditate. This summer I visited Devils Tower and hiked up to the base. It is one of the most powerful and spiritually connected places I have ever visited. At one point along my hike, I stopped and meditated. When I opened my eyes, an eagle flew over my shoulder and took my intentions up to the top of the Tower.
