Greetings,
As we approach the end of 2022, we want to take a moment and express our heartfelt gratitude to all our friends, family, and well-wishers. Your support has continued to move us forward and propel our international development projects to new growths.
Along with virtual sessions, DRI-CIWAS has reinstated all our in-person trainings and curriculums in collaboration with our international university partners - the University for Development Studies, Ghana; Uganda Christian University; Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Tanzania; Mzuzu University, Malawi; and the University of Eswatini. Our WASH Sustainability projects in Ghana, Malawi, and Honduras are also moving forward in full swing beyond the impacts of the pandemic. In addition to our students from sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, our WASH Capacity Building Program with World Vision has expanded internationally this year to Iraq and Papua New Guinea. A total of 203 students from 32 countries have completed the WASHCap Program. DRI-CIWAS has also continued with the research on our fluoride removal treatment technology in the lab with plans for field testing it in rural communities of Ghana early next year.
As we move into the holidays and begin a new year, we want to thank you for your financial support and collaboration with CIWAS. On behalf of everyone on the CIWAS team - Braimah, Victoria, Palistha, and all our supporting DRI faculty, best wishes to you and your families. Have a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year 2023!
