Dear Members of the Tufts Community:
Last week, the Board of Trustees officially welcomed President Sunil Kumar to Tufts during a special session of the board. Our discussions were quite engaging and thought-provoking–and reaffirmed for us that he is the right choice to lead Tufts as our 14th president.
I hope you will join us in celebrating his presidency during Inauguration Week, September 30–October 7, including his installation ceremony, Friday, October 6, at 2 p.m., on the Medford/Somerville campus.
Dr. Kumar’s inauguration events will celebrate Tufts’ commitment to academic excellence, artistic creativity, athletic accomplishments, and civic engagement.
A formal invitation will be coming in September, but please save the date. I am certain that Dr. Kumar’s inauguration will be a memorable occasion for all of us.
