The Ranch House will offer full-day preschool from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and half-day preschool from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. See the Preschool page for details!

Water Conservation & Turf Reduction Plans and Open House

Date: Tuesday, April 5
Time: 5-6 p.m.
Location: Ranch House

As part of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Landscape Master Plan, there are proposed areas throughout the Valley and North Ranch where Ken-Caryl Ranch can reduce water usage through turf reduction. You can review maps for each turf reduction area on our Bond Projects site. On each map, there’s a highlighted yellow area that shows where sprinklers will be turned off. Dryland grasses rather than irrigated turf will then be allowed to flourish in those areas, and the Parks Department will control weeds as needed. There will be an open house for residents to ask questions and discuss the plans on Tuesday, April 5 from 5-6 p.m. at the Ranch House. You can also email your comments to bondprojects@kcranch.org.

Please see the Jeffco Planning & Zoning website for plan details.

Show Your Interest in the Optional Composting Service

Waste Connections will offer an optional composting service later this year if at least 500 Ken-Caryl residents sign up for the fee-based option. Composting would be picked up every other week, and the fee of $11 per month would be billed directly to the homeowner. Items that can be composted include food, food-soiled paper and plant materials. If you are interested in this service, please email kencarylco@wasteconnections.com or call the Ranch House at 303-979-1876. In the message, say that you are interested in the composting service and provide your name, email, phone number and address. Assuming enough owners are interested, Waste Connections will contact you to complete the signup process.
