The MIDP's fall forums were extra exciting this fall, featuring a variety of speakers, collaborations, Design Challenge projects and visiting companies. This fall we have been lucky enough to have a particularly spectacular roster of speakers. Dr. Kyla Terhune, Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Vice President for Educational Affairs here at Vanderbilt, spoke about her life experience and the experiences that had shaped her medical career and decision to pursue an MD and an MBA.
Chris Booker spoke about his experiences as a partner at Frist Cressey and the importance of relationships, family and your network. Illustrating his talk with a variety of vignettes of relationships in Nashville healthcare and the ways that he crafted his own career made for an exciting conversation.
Finally, we were delighted to host Paul Yock, MD and Andre Churchwell, MD to talk about their 40 year friendship and their forays into innovation together. Talking together about their successes and failures, things that worked and things that didn't, was a motivation to our students!
