Hi ,
Welcome to your very first Navigator, the official e-newsletter for first-year students at Tulane!
We encourage you to get in the habit of checking your Tulane email regularly as you will receive a new edition of the Navigator often, beginning this summer and continuing throughout your entire first year. The Navigator is designed to support your transition to Tulane by connecting you with campus resources, informing you of upcoming events and opportunities, and offering advice for a successful first-year experience. We’re so happy you chose Tulane and can’t wait to welcome you to campus!

In preparation for your arrival to campus, we've designed a collection of online New Student Modules to help you navigate the transition to college life, gain a better understanding of academic expectations, and learn about resources available to you on campus. With a new theme each month, these mandatory modules will ease your transition to Tulane. Consider these your first homework assignments as a Tulane student!
Check your Tulane inbox later today as you should receive an invitation from Canvas to join the modules! If you are unable to locate the invitation, be sure to check your other inboxes or simply login to Canvas with your Tulane email and password. The Summer 2024 New Student Modules can be found on your Canvas Dashboard.

On the first of each month leading up to your arrival, a new module will open on your Canvas Dashboard. You will then have the entire month to progress through the module at your own pace. By completing these modules, you will feel more prepared, confident, and connected as you begin your academic journey at Tulane!

The first module you will complete, titled Make Way for Exploration, begins with an introduction to your academic home, Newcomb-Tulane College, and the Core Curriculum. From the First-Year Seminar to Service Learning, you will explore just a few of the Core Curriculum components designed to foster a spirit of intellectual curiosity and creativity. The module will continue with an overview of various campus resources here to support your academic success, including College Advising, the Academic Learning & Tutoring Center, the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility, and Academic Integrity. For an overview of the advising timeline, view this webpage.
Please complete this module by Friday, May 31.
