Special Issue of The Journal of Gerontology: The Fourth Geroscience Summit

Now available! A special issue of The Journal of Gerontology that outlines the lessons learned from the 2023 Fourth Summit: Geroscience for the Next Generation, hosted by NIH Geroscience Interest Group and NIA. For an overview of the specific geroscience goals outlined in the paper, read the NIA blog post here.

The National Dementia Workforce Study invites you to submit ideas for new survey content.
The National Dementia Workforce Study, sponsored by the National Institute on Aging, is conducting the first large, annual surveys of the dementia care workforce in the United States. Survey data and other linked data sources will create an unprecedented resource for researchers to answer critical questions about the workforce and its impact on care and outcomes for persons living with dementia. 

Please submit any ideas here to enhance any of the staff, clinician, and/or administrator surveys by Monday, September 16.

Mentored Career Enhancement Awards to Build Cross-Disciplinary Knowledge and Skills for Comparative Studies of Human and Nonhuman Primate Species with Differing Life Spans (K18)

This funding opportunity is intended to expand the community of researchers in comparative primate research, with a specific focus on enhancing the investigator’s capability to lead studies to elucidate the bases for primate species differences in life span and age-related conditions.
NIH U24 Music Networks Pilot Research Program
Deadline: October 1, 2024
The purpose of the current FOA is to support 1-year pilot studies to generate the necessary preliminary data to strengthen future NIH applications for later-stage studies on mechanisms through which music may have a positive impact on health in the context of pain or AD/ADRD.
Hevolution Foundation Postdoctoral Training in Geroscience (HF-PTG) Program

The Hevolution Foundation will provide funding for PhD and MD/PhD students who want to pursue postdoctoral research training in the biology of aging or geroscience.
USDeN Pilot Awards

The US Deprescribing Research Network is pleased to announce a new Request for Application for Pilot Awards. The maximum budget per award is $30,000 in direct costs (and no more than $50,000 in combined direct and indirect cost). 
AGS/ADGAP AIRE Medicine-Geriatrics Integrated Residency and Fellowship
Deadline: November 15, 2024
This training program provides an alternative pathway for training geriatricians by integrating the clinical experiences required in a geriatrics fellowship across the internal medicine or family medicine residency and meeting geriatric competencies in an innovative four-year (48 month) program.
NIDUS Pilot Grants
Deadline: December 6, 2024
The Network for Investigation of Delirium: Unifying Scientists (NIDUS) is awarding two $40,000 Pilot Awards for the 2025-2026 grant cycle. This cycle of Pilot Awards is focused on the inter-relationship of Delirium and Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (AD/ADRD).
