It's Summertime at School of Rock!

Summer Camps are in Full Swing

Our Rock School Boot Camp and Rock 101 Camps kicked off the first week of camps. They worked hard all week, and that hard work paid off! They rocked the big stage at Jammin' Java for a memorable performance! We are so proud of what they accomplished in one short week. If you want to join us, and can't get enough rock, we have a few spaces left in camps and are still enrolling through the week of August 6th! Call us today or go online to sign up!

California Dreaming Tour 2018

Did you know that we take our House Band Students on tour in the summer? School of Rock House Band's from Vienna, Ashburn, and Silver Spring are on the road as we go to press on their epic California Dreaming Tour. They tore the roof off the House of Blues in San Diego, met up for a rock fest with 9 Schools of Rock in San Dimas, and then set fire to the legendary Whiskey A Go Go in West Hollywood! Next up are shows in Danville and San Francisco. Make sure to check our Social Media for pics, videos, and other tour updates! WTOP Interviews School of Rock

WTOP stopped by School of Rock Vienna last week to check out our amazing Summer Camps! Our Rock 101 and Rock School Boot Camps each performed a song on camera and then came together to impress with a a killer group performance of Joan Jett's, I Love Rock And Roll. They also interviewed a couple campers, and Assistant Camp Director, and former School of Rocker, Nikki Bellini. We will share the interviews and performance as soon as they are published!

What Instruments do you study/play at School of Rock? Vocals, Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keys.

What’s your favorite thing about School of Rock Vienna? That they give me and others the opportunity to go on stage and perform.

What is one of your favorite things you've learned at School of Rock Vienna? New warm up techniques for vocals.

What advice do you have to new musicians out there? Practice and don't give up, because you will go farther in your career and you WILL get better!

If you could be in any band, past or present, what band and why? Heart, because they have really stretched my voice into something I didn't know I could do. People say I sound just like them.

Make Music Day 2018 Was a Hit!

We celebrated our first ever participation in Make Music Day DC as an Offical Make Music Day Venue. We rocked the front parking lot of the school along with millions around the world. We had performances by our Rock 101, JV and House Bands, as well as several Performance Program Groups! We capped the event off with a Facebook Live simulcast of the largest live performance ever of David Bowie's Rebel, Rebel, with thousands of other School of Rockers across the country. Next year, we're going for a Guinness World Record! Check out the video of our Rebel Rebel at the link above.

We rock our regular programs all year long, including summertime, but you can GET MORE ROCK! Our Summer Camp Enrollment Season is underway! Camps started the week of June 25th and wrap up the week of August 6th. Camps fill up fast, and are just about full but there are still a few spaces left!
