1,000 Dreams Scholarship- Deadline: March 31! A one-time educational assistance of up to $1,000 for women currently enrolled in a US university. This scholarship is not to fund tuition. The intention is to provide access to educational opportunities beyond tuition, such as educational conferences, instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits, graduate exam application fees, or textbooks.

Rachel Carson Council Fellowship Program- Deadline: April 1! Designed to identify students with a passion for environmental education, organizing, and advocacy and provide them with training in DC, mentorship from RCC environmental staff, and financial support to do the valuable work they care about and become life-long advocates for the environment. Fellows also have the opportunity to publish and speak on behalf of the Council. $2,000 stipend provided.

Samvid Scholars- Deadline: April 3! For future leaders who are committed to effecting positive change in society. Scholars receive up to $50K for tuition and fees each year for two years of study in a graduate program in the US. The program will also offer professional development support and mentoring. An eligible candidate will pursue a full-time graduate program of 2 years or longer in one of the following eligible programs: MD, MBA, JD, MPP/MPA, MPH, or MS/MA in the social sciences or STEM; be an incoming first-year graduate student for the 2023-2024 academic year ; have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5; and be a U.S. citizen or DACA recipient.

Comcast NBCUniversal Media Scholarships- Deadline: April 15! Each year, the Los Angeles LGBT Center partners with Comcast NBCUniversal to award over $30,000 in scholarships to eligible LGBTQ and ally college undergrad students. This scholarship is a tuition grant based on financial need only. Applicants must major in media, including but not limited to: Advertising, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Website Development, Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.

Edison International STEM Scholarships- Deadline: April 15! Each year, the Los Angeles LGBT Center partners with Edison International STEM Scholarship to award over $30,000 in scholarships to eligible LGBTQ and ally college undergrad students. This scholarship is a tuition grant based on financial need only. Applicants must major in Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Services, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Resources and Conservation, or Physical Sciences.

National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship- Deadline: April 27. NHSC provides scholarships to students pursuing professional degrees as primary care providers (physician, physician assistant, dentist, nurse practitioner, or nurse-midwife) in exchange for their commitment to serve in high-need, underserved communities. The scholarship includes tax-free payment of tuition, required fees, other reasonable educational costs, and a taxable monthly living stipend. After completion of graduation/training, recipients fulfill their service commitment at one of more than 16,000 NHSC-approved sites throughout the nation and its territories. Each scholar serves for a minimum of two years and receives one year of financial support (up to four years) for each year of service. Open to both enrolled and accepted for enrollment as a full-time medical student for Fall 2023.

Great Minds in STEM Scholarship- Deadline: April 30. A merit-based scholarship ranging in amounts from $500 to $5,000. Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or must significantly demonstrate leadership or service within the underserved community.

GMiS California Health Sciences Scholarships- Deadline: April 30. Provides financial assistance of up to $1,000 and support for underrepresented students in California who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in health-related disciplines.

Original Voices Shorts Pitch- Deadline: April 14! This call is open to US-based documentarians who identify as – or showcase stories highlighting social issues affecting – women, LGBTQ+ folx, communities of color, and people with disabilities. Five teams will be invited to pitch their short documentary works-in-progress to a panel of journalists and executives from a host of legacy news organizations. Each selected team will receive a non-recoupable grant of $6,000 to support the development and production of their project as well as their travel to New York for participation. The winning team will receive $100,000 in financing and a commission deal. No application fee to apply!
