We hope you are enjoying this extra Leap Year day! We are happy to be using ours to share information about Grad Fair, campus housing reminders, a Valentine's Day love letter to UCSB, and more.
Reminders & Announcements
The Campus Store will be hosting Grad Fair on March 6 & 7 from 10am to 6pm at the UCen Main Lobby. Grad Fair offers information and promotions related to graduation memorabilia including announcements, class rings, alumni gear, and graduate portrait photos by GradImages, the official Commencement photographer.
Residence halls will close at 10am on March 23 for Spring Break and reopen at 10am on March 31. Knowing many students travel far distances during this break, early arrivals are permitted beginning March 30 at 10am, but services will be limited during these 24 hours. Any students wishing to return before March 30 will need to sign up for break housing or arrange other lodging. Campus apartments stay open through Spring Break.
Continuing students who applied for 2024-25 campus housing but did not receive a contract will be notified by University & Community Housing Services in early March. Students without campus housing contracts will need to secure privately owned accommodations in the community and are encouraged to visit UCSB's rental listings site and attend rental fairs on March 13 and April 18.
Planning ahead for move-out? Spring quarter final exams take place June 8-14. Students can move out any time after their academic responsibilities are completed but must move out no later than Saturday, June 15 at 10am for all residence halls and no later than Monday, June 17 at 10am for undergraduate apartments. All residents will receive detailed information in May on the move-out process. If your student has any questions or concerns about the move-out process, please have them reach out to their Resident Director or Resident Assistant.
