Hello, UC San Diego staff colleagues,
 
My UC San Diego journey began in 2004 as an undergraduate student studying Biological Anthropology, and since then I have had the privilege of experiencing this community as a double alumna and staff member. I'm currently the Director of Corporate Partnerships at the Rady School of Management. My time here has deepened my appreciation for the staff who make this campus such a vibrant place to learn and work and I'm thrilled to be the new Chair of the UC San Diego Staff Association. 

We’re excited to kick off the new academic year with the Staff Summer Celebration on September 10 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. on RIMAC Field. With thanks to our incredible campus partners and sponsors Red Bull, Pepsi, and University Credit Union, this year’s summer fest will feature live entertainment, activation stations, fun giveaways, and lunch. It will be a great opportunity to reconnect, meet colleagues from across campus, and celebrate the people who make UC San Diego so special. 
 
I look forward to seeing you at our programs throughout the year. Please say hello at an event, share what matters most to you, and let us know how we can better support our staff community.

Looking for a fun way to connect with colleagues across the UC system? Join UCR Staff Assembly for monthly Virtual Bingo! Each month, UC staff are invited to come together for a few rounds of bingo, friendly competition, and a chance to connect with colleagues from across the University of California.

The next Virtual Bingo is Friday, August 21, and UC San Diego participants will have the chance to win UC San Diego swag! 

Applications and nominations are now open for the 2026 Dialogue for Peace Staff Professional Development Fellowship! This cohort-based learning experience explores Peacemaking and Restorative Justice as a framework to promote dialogue across differences, listening for understanding, conflict resolution, and consensus/community-building. 

Full-time career staff are encouraged to apply or nominate a colleague who would benefit from this professional development opportunity. Applications and nominations are due August 31, 2026.

Take some time to recharge, reconnect, and move with intention. UC San Diego Park & Market is offering a FREE yoga class in the heart of downtown San Diego August 19th from 5 - 6 p.m. All experience levels are welcome.

The Basic Needs Center hosts free food distribution once a month open to students, staff, faculty, and community members! The distribution will include shelf-stable pantry items and fresh seasonal produce. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring reusable grocery bags to carry their items.

Looking for a primary care provider close to work? UC San Diego Health is now accepting new primary care patients at the new Triton Center, conveniently located in the heart of campus.
