News from NESA! 
It is already mid-February and we are halfway done our Winter 2024 season! We hope you have enjoyed your programs and activities with us so far!
The big questions these days have been 'What's the latest on the Northgate building project?' and 'When will NESA be moving back?!' At this time, NESA still does not have an actual return date but does remain hopeful that we will get this information soon.
At this time of year, the NESA Programming Team begins working away at preparing its Spring season details. Not knowing when NESA can return to its 'home' at Northgate has proven challenging with respect to planning future activities and programs. So, to ensure that there won't be any disruption to next season's programming, NESA will continue to program out of its temporary venues for the Spring season.
More details about the Spring 2024 season to come in the next few weeks - stay tuned!

 Northgate Construction Update
At this time we are excited to confirm with our community that the following renovation work has been completed at Northgate:

● Asphalt work to the parking lot has been completed. Unforeseen organics were discovered in the remediation work resulting in extra fill required to complete the work.
● The replacement of one skylight has been completed.
● Lighting replacement continues to progress. Overall approximately 90% of the lighting replacements have been completed.
● Prepping for tile removal in the men’s shower has commenced and floor prep is now complete to properly slope the floor to the drain. Tile replacement to be completed.
● The Contractor has begun preparing the Mechanical room for new electrical panels. The wall between the Mechanical room and the kitchen pantry has been removed to increase the size of the Mechanical room and comply with new code requirements. This
wall has now been framed and finishing is underway.
● The Contractor continues to work on new electrical panel installation throughout the facility.
● Work to the controls and valves throughout the facility has commenced and will continue through February.
● The track for the accordion door in the Gymnasium has been installed and the contractor is confirming dates for the delivery of the new accordion door.
● New sliding doors for the front entrance are on site and will be installed in February.
● The new roof access hatch has been installed.
● The new gate for access to the new Network Activity Room on the second floor has been installed.

NESA's Annual General Meeting: April 5, 2024
Join us at the Annual General Meeting on Friday April 5 at 11:00am as we review 2023 and look forward to the future by meeting the new Board candidates and meet other members at a post-meeting social gathering. Lunch will be provided; advanced registration is required. Register in person or online (look in course catalog for [NESA 2023 Annual General Meeting]).
Please note that an active 2024 NESA Membership is required in order to attend and participate in this meeting.

Pampering & Portraits 
Come and celebrate International Women's Day on Friday, March 8, 2024. We have an exciting fundraiser planned! Enjoy a morning of pampering from the M.E. LaZerte and Queen Elizabeth Cosmetology students! Each registrant will get their hair and makeup done and select hand care treatments like manicures or paraffin. You will also receive a digital photograph to celebrate the day! Light refreshments will also be served.
