UO EVENTS
  • Celebrate veteran students, staff, and faculty members at the Veteran Appreciation Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 18, noon–2:00 p.m. in the EMU Gumwood Room.
  • The Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center invites Black students to connect with faculty members and staff during the weekly Super Soul Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Join the Trans Day of Remembrance as the community shares readings and a candlelight vigil to honor lives lost to anti-transgender violence on Sunday, Nov. 20, 3:00–6:00 p.m. in the EMU Ballroom and Amphitheater.
  • Take in tunes by the UO Hip Hop and Popular Music Ensembles on Sunday, Nov. 20, 8:00–10:00 p.m. at the Frohnmayer Music Building, Room 190.
  • Relax, chill with friends, play games, eat snacks, and take a break from studying with Connect the Ducks on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the EMU.
BASIC NEEDS SUPPORT
  • UO students who qualify can stop by the Student Sustainability Center's Produce Drop for free fruits and vegetables on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 3:00–5:00 p.m. in the EMU Amphitheater.
  • Come by Wednesdays and Thursdays to pick up free supplemental groceries at the Student Food Pantry, including today from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at 710 E. 17th Ave.
TALKS AND WORKSHOPS
  • Learn how to relieve the stress of repaying loans at the Financial Wellness Center's Student Loan Repayment workshop, 3:00–4:00 p.m. today in Tykeson Hall, James Commons Space. 
  • Check out BE Indigenous Joy with UO alumna Jana Schmieding, as this advocate of Indigenous visibility and social justice discusses her comedy and writing on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 5:30–8:00 p.m. in the EMU Ballroom.
  • Graduate students can utilize the virtual Cover Letter Writing for Graduate Students workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 10:00–11:00 a.m.
  • Join the Men's Resource Center for Open Court, where educational and peer-led groups help students learn and feel supported around men's mental health issues, on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the EMU Rogue Room.
NOTEWORTHY
  • Students are invited to sign up for auditions to be part of University Theatre's winter production “Best of Enemies.” Auditions will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, noon–3:00 p.m. in Villard Hall, Room 104.
