Dear Friend of the Passionists,
This last week has been full of immense joy and reflection as I watched Pope Francis visit the United States. I was moved by his humility, his compassion and his heartfelt messages to Catholics and non-Catholics alike.
In my joy, I also thought, with some sadness, about the people who could not be here to experience the Pope’s visit. Just a few short weeks ago, a friend’s mother died of cancer. She was a devout Catholic and anxiously awaited the Pope’s message during his visit. Instead, her family took comfort in knowing that she was there in spirit, free of pain, resting in peace and happiness with Jesus in Heaven.
Be assured of our prayers for you and your loved ones, and I humbly ask you to pray for us.
Yours in Christ’s love,
