For the second year, we are opening nominations for the Wisconsin 4-H Volunteer Awards!  These statewide awards seek to honor the outstanding volunteers that support and help grow our programs and impacts!  

There are 3 categories:

Applications are open in 4-H Online and include a short essay with some guided questions.  The applications are open through August 1, 2026, and we encourage everyone to submit a nomination!  A committee will review the applications, and the award recipients will be recognized at Fall Forum in November.  

The Brown County Fair Association is sponsoring a competition for 4-H Clubs and FFA to display their talents by helping to advertise the Brown County Fair.   Each participating club will be given a board to create a sign that will advertise the date of the fair and will be displayed in their community.  The signs will be judged and prizes will be awarded.  Participating organizations will also be recognized at the fair. 

The top 3 winners will receive $100, $75, and $50 respectively.  Participating clubs that do not win will also receive a small monetary award.

Boards must be placed and entry applications must be arrive at the address below by July 15, 2026.

Get your club's creativity flowing!  Club projects for the Brown County Fair are due by July 15, 2026.  Categories include scrapbook, booth, and flower pot.

Contest Awards: A $50.00 gift card prize will be awarded to the top 5 winners.

AI use is optional. This contest offers a safe, creative opportunity for youth who already use AI tools to explore ideas and artistic expression. The focus remains on youth voice, critical thinking, and responsible decision‑making. 

Area Animal Science Days (AASD) provide Wisconsin youth with hands-on, educational competitions in animal evaluation, covering species such as beef, dairy, horse, sheep, and swine. The statewide tradition strengthens skills in decision-making and offers opportunities for top participants to advance to higher-level contests.

This event is open to all youth enrolled in the Wisconsin 4-H Horse Program in grades 6-13. You must be registered to attend the event.

The 4-H Hunt and Dressage Show is a 3-day event featuring a dressage clinic and show, over fences clinic and show, and flat and pleasure classes. You can also audit and learn at the clinics without your horse. The Brown County Dairy Promotions Committee is looking for volunteers for our annual Breakfast on the Farm event. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Tinedale Farms at 2768 Poplar St, Wrightstown, WI. There are multiple volunteer shifts available throughout the weekend of the event. Volunteers who are a part of a group/organization are eligible to receive compensation for volunteering their time.

The Wisconsin Towns Association, in partnership with Rural Mutual Insurance Co. and Scott Construction, Inc., will award a total of ten $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2026 from either a public or private Wisconsin high school who plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2026. 

Scholarship recipients will be selected through an independently judged essay contest.  This year’s essay topic is “What strategies can be implemented by local government officials in collaboration with citizens to encourage and maintain civility?"

Students do not need to be residents of towns to be eligible. 
Essay and application must be received by May 22, 2026.
