Signing Day is a celebration of high school graduates who are choosing to enter the workforce coordinated through the SteeleCoWorks program.  The event features local businesses and students celebrated for their decision to go to work.

Events Flavor Tourism Season in Owatonna

Smokin’ in Steele is this weekend, June 3 & 4. Head on out to the Steele County Fairgrounds on Friday or Saturday for lunch and dinner—food vendors open Friday at 11am. Enjoy some Blues Music and BBQ, or pick from several food trucks including: Piggy Blues BBQ, LAKE STATE BBQ, LLC, Grandma's Cookies, Ole and Lena's, and At the Hop concessions. Proceeds from the Smokin’ in Steele event benefit Owatonna Area Special Olympics and Let's Smile, Inc.
National Cutting Horse Association rides into Owatonna for their event at the Steele County Fairgrounds June 24-26th! All Chamber members are invited to their meet and greet the night before, on June 23rd at 5:30 at the Foundation Building. Join in to see the Cutting Horse Demonstration, and meal served at 6pm. Kick Off summer with Downtown Thursday

This annual summer event brings downtown alive on the first Thursdays of June, July and August.  The event highlights businesses and restaurants, food trucks, street vendors and musical entertainment.
The first one for the summer of 2022 is this Thursday, June 2nd at 5:00 with musical performances on the 300 block of Cedar featuring Jeff Reinartz.
Also on Cedar Ave will be street vendors, food vendors, retail businesses and more entertainment to discover! The concert in Central Park begins at 7:00 – bring a chair and get ready to enjoy the entertainment the band Red Dirt Road!
Please Note:  Cedar Street is blocked off to vehicle traffic and we encourage everyone to walk the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Cedar Ave to check out our new streetscape and experience the exciting atmosphere that Downtown Thursday brings.
