Truman Scholarship "Sneak Peek" webinar on Mar. 30 at 12:30 p.m. PT
ONIF is seeking sophomores for the Fall 2022 application cycle! Truman is a merit-based scholarship for college juniors who plan to pursue careers in government or elsewhere in public service. Scholars receive $30,000 toward a public service-related graduate degree. Register here.

Charley Pride Fellowship Program- Deadline: April 1! The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has created a 10 week paid internship program for rising juniors and seniors currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. A “Pride Fellow” will be able to select three departments of interest in which to work during their time with the Rangers. This person will be able to experience firsthand what front office executives experience daily while exposing them to the professional baseball industry. Areas of baseball operations include accounting/finance, business analytics, marketing, player development, scouting, and beyond.

North American Language and Culture Assistants in Spain- Deadline: April 7! American college students and graduates- who are native-like speakers of English - partner with elementary and secondary schools in Spain to bolster language programs, as language assistants (TAs) under the supervision and guidance of teachers in Spain. The language assistants will receive a monthly stipend of 700-1,000 euros, exempt from taxation, and full medical insurance. Upon arrival in Spain, they will be offered an orientation course. Travel costs to and from the country of origin will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Comcast NBCUniversal Media Scholarships- Deadline: April 30. Each year, the Los Angeles LGBT Center partners with Comcast NBCUniversal to award over $30,000 in scholarships to eligible LGBTQ and ally college undergrad students. This scholarship is a tuition grant based on financial need only. Applicants must major in media, including but not limited to: Advertising, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Website Development, Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.

Black Voices in the Public Sphere Fellowship- Deadline: March 30! Boston Review is now accepting applications for the Black Voices in the Public Sphere Fellowship, designed to prepare and support the next generation of Black journalists, editors, and publishers. The fellowship is a full-time position running from September 2022 through May 2023. Fellows will receive a $5,000 monthly stipend.

Harvard Summer Venture in Management- Deadline: April 22. A competitive, fully-funded weeklong residential and academically rigorous program for graduating and rising college seniors. SVMP is designed to increase diversity and opportunity in business education. For the SVMP 2022, participants will be graduating (class of 2022) or rising college seniors (class of 2023) from a domestic school. SVMP is geared toward students who:
- Identify as a member of a group that is currently underrepresented in business schools and corporate America (e.g. African American, Latino, Native American, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender);
- Are the first family member to attend college, or from a family with little business education or experience;
- Are from a school whose graduates are sometimes underrepresented (e.g. attends a community college as part of a four-year degree or attends a predominantly minority college).

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program- Deadline: April 1! Each year, the program awards $10,000 to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student. Open to U.S. citizens majoring in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics. Must also demonstrate financial need and be willing to consider a paid internship with Lockheed Martin following their freshman, sophomore, or junior year of college.

Great Minds in STEM Scholarship- Deadline: April 30. A merit-based scholarship ranging in amounts from $500 to $5,000. Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or must significantly demonstrate leadership or service within the underserved community.

GMiS California Health Sciences Scholarships- Deadline: April 30. Provides financial assistance of up to $1,000 and support for underrepresented students in California who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in health-related disciplines.

Edison International STEM Scholarships- Deadline: April 30. Each year, the Los Angeles LGBT Center partners with Edison International STEM Scholarship to award over $30,000 in scholarships to eligible LGBTQ and ally college undergrad students. Applicants must major in Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Services, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Resources and Conservation, or Physical Sciences.

NEA Global Learning Fellowship- Deadline: April 1! A group of talented educators will travel to South Africa for the 2023 Global Learning Fellowship field study. As the culmination of a year-long professional development program for educators, the international field study will allow fellows to immerse themselves in learning about the history, culture, and education systems of South Africa during a 10-day trip in July 2023. Applicants must have three or more years of K-12 teaching experience and be current NEA members.

ASSET’s Mental Health Changemaker Fellows- Deadline: April 15! ASSET Education offers an unprecedented fellowship program that equips passionate 6-12th grade teachers, school administrators, mental health professionals and SEL specialists with new tools, resources, and professional development to catalyze mental wellness in their classes and at their schools. Over the course of a year, ASSET’s Mental Health Changemaker Fellows will implement tools with their students, measure the impact, and be part of a community reshaping what it means to educate the whole child. Fellows receive a $500 stipend and professional training.

Institute for Policy Studies Paid Summer Internship
A paid 10-week program, Institute for Policy Studies Next Leaders program offers young activists training in public scholarship, that is, the connection between policy research, advocacy, and grassroots activism. Through its workshop and events series and individualized mentorship, Next Leaders looks to sharpen young scholar-activists' voices and hone their skills. In addition to hands-on experience, each cohort will leave the program with a more nuanced understanding of environmental, racial, economic, gender, and peace justice. Hourly wage of $15 for 37.5 hours weekly to offset the cost of working with IPS. Interns may also receive academic credit. Learn more.
